This seminar is intended for predoc and postdoc fellows who are interested in learning about NIH Fellowships. Coffee and Snacks will be provided.

Leadership and Management for Scientists

This course is designed for graduate students and postdocs who wish to enhance their leadership and management skills. Sessions cover topics from building your support network and negotiating to strategic planning and managing people. The course is led by Eric Vaughn, M.Ed., myHub's director of career services. Improve Your Grant Writing Skills with F-Club
myHub will again host an “F-Club”, which will serve as a peer writing support group for individuals interested in writing applications for F awards. Applicants will have the opportunity to improve their grant writing skills via peer review with oversight by the Director of Writing Services and Training Grant Development, Dr. Elaine Smolock.
NEW for this cohort, the writing club will be accompanied by Grant Writing Modules that have been developed in partnership with Archer Careers. This initiative is intended to provide self-guided materials to improve aspects of grant writing and better prepare you to successfully apply for NIH fellowships.
The club will meet on Thursdays and begin Feb. 8 and run through March 19, 2024. If you would like to participate, please complete this short survey by January 31.

Apply to Support Health Sciences Research Using High-Performance Computational Resources
Applications are requested to support laboratory staff that will accelerate research in computational biology and health, and to take advantage of the high-performance computational resources of the University.
Funds are available to support laboratory staff for short-term, early-phase work necessary to allow investigators to translate their ideas into computer code or models, and to get new biocomputational/health-related scientific projects up and running in several areas. Full details here.
