 NSF I-Corps Short Course

The Ain Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and the UR Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) are partnering to offer an NSF I-Corps Regional Short Course this spring. This course is designed for graduate students, doctoral candidates, postdocs, and faculty members in STEM-related fields to explore the market opportunity of their research. If you have been working on a technology innovation and wish to explore its commercialization potential, I-Corps can provide you with entrepreneurial education, mentoring, and funding for customer discovery. This free, virtual course is open to participants from any institution and runs from February 13 - March 15. See schedule details and apply here by February 9.

At the end of the program, teams will have conducted customer interviews, iterated on the business model canvas, and will have clear plans for taking the next steps. Short Course graduates receive NSF lineage and are able to apply to other NSF grant awards, including the National I-Corps Teams program which carries a $50,000 grant award. Previous NSF funding is not required to apply. Contact Heidi Mergenthaler with questions.
