Virtual Open House for Postdocs

Boston University’s Professional Development and Postdoctoral Affairs is pleased to be offering a virtual open house for prospective postdocs that will be held on March 27th and March 28th, 2024.

The open house will allow prospective postdocs to learn about the various research opportunities, the postdoc experience at BU, and professional development topics. The program will include an information session on postdoc training at BU, seminar on mentoring, faculty panels, current postdoc panel, overview of career options after postdoc training, fellowship opportunities as a postdoc, and resources for postdocs at BU.

We encourage current PhD, MD, or MD-PhD students nearing completion of their degree, recent graduates, postdocs early in their training, especially from underrepresented and marginalized groups to apply. There is no limitation of citizenship to apply for the open house. However, some postdoc positions that may be discussed could be limited to US citizens or residents due to the nature of their funding source.

In order to know our participants and better support them during the virtual open house, we want to ask questions about educational background, current employment, research interests and demographic information. The information we collect will be used only for the purpose of the open house and not shared.

Sign up here if you are interested in attending the open house.
