We had our study entitled as ‘Investigation of the Effects and Mechanisms of Epoxygenases in Isolated Rat Gastric Fundus’ took its place as a poster presentation at the 19th World Congress of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology 2023 of the British Pharmacological Society in Glasgow, Scotland. Exciting News! Our latest manuscript published in Lab on a Chip Journal introduces a groundbreaking seven-chamber organ-on-chip device that mimics the intricate vascular systems of the placenta, villous structure, and fetal circulation. Featuring seven distinct cell types, including immune cells, our innovative platform offers unparalleled insights into placental physiology. Moreover, our research evaluated the impact of physiologic concentrations of environmental toxicants such as PBDE, BSA, and BPS on placental function. The results are astonishing – our system demonstrates resilience against these toxicants, preserving normal placental functions. This breakthrough opens new avenues for studying maternal-fetal health and environmental toxicology.
