Brighton. N.Y. — Our Bright Spot shines on residents at the Highlands at Brighton, celebrating a favorite holiday pastime.

Faculty, staff, and family dressed up to go door to-door throughout the building serenading residents with Christmas carols.

The event is one of the many things they do to help residents feel a bit more at home during the holidays.

“Faces just light up,” said Dr. Jennifer Muniak, medical director. “It's so obvious that music and the spirit generated by these types of events has an incredible effect on the morale here.”

“It does have a nice family theme to it, I mean the nurses, they all treat us very well. We're all together as a family,” said a resident.

This is the first time the highlands at Brighton held this event.
