Composite image of M. Patricia Rivera, MD, and three of her Lego creations: Sherlock Holmes book nook, botanical gardens, and Rivendell. During the pandemic, M. Patricia Rivera, MD, chief of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, needed a way to decompress at the end of each harrowing day. Her children turned her onto Legos, and she’s been building ever since. Some of their creations include a Sherlock Holmes book nook, botanical gardens, and she and her daughter are currently building Rivendell, the elven settlement dreamed up by J.R.R. Tolkien.
