Celebrating 3,000 Life-Saving Kidney Transplants
The Transplant Institute recently performed its 3,000th kidney transplant surgery, “a tremendous accomplishment for the kidney transplant team, which is a leader in this life-saving care in upstate New York." The large team, which includes many providers in the Division of Nephrology, performs about 100 transplants annually.

The Cardiology team is partnering with colleagues across the Medical Center to support Rochester and Monroe County leaders’ efforts to improve community readiness for sudden cardiac arrest. A large group of community organizations is collaborating to boost CPR and AED skills to save lives and earn the HEARTSafe community designation.

Submit Abstracts for Feb. 6 Research in Health Equity Symposium: URMC faculty, trainees, nurses, and APPs are invited to submit oral or poster presentation abstracts for health equity research related to building partnerships by September 30.  

Donate Items to Willow Domestic Violence Center: Well-iora, the Residency Wellness Committee, is collecting items from Willow's wish list. Drop items at the Medicine Residency Program Office (3-3256), the Med-Peds Residency Program Office (1-1188), or the collection box in the DOM Hub Space (3-5100) by November 9.

Join the Academy of Educators: This new network of educators applies the science of teaching and learning to advance health professions education. Get education resources as well as guidance and camaraderie from academy leadership and fellow members. Apply to join the academy by November 15.
