Home is Where the Hospital Is
In September, UR Medicine will launch the Hospital at Home program, an innovative care model that brings acute-care services directly into patients’ homes. Program leader and Chief of Hospital Medicine Justin Hopkin, MD, introduced the program through the eyes of Edna, a fiercely independent 82-year-old, at the most recent DOM Town Hall.

At this year’s Board Excellence Awards, the UR Medicine Quality Institute and URMC Board honored Robert Panzer, MD, of General Medicine, with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his tireless advocacy for quality improvement and patient safety.
Heather Busick, MD
Busick Named Informatics Physician Leader of the Year
Heather Busick, MD, MS, of General Medicine, received the award at the 2025 Clinical Informatics Conference of the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA). The award is one of four Physicians in AMIA Awards given annually.

Celebrating Residents' Excellence

Rodenbach Awarded Wilmot Fellowship
Rachel Rodenbach, MD, of Hematology/Oncology, received the Physician-Scientist Fellowship from the James P. Wilmot Foundation for her work helping patients with myeloid cancers make decisions about allogenic hematopoietic cell transplant.

Vinesh Jonnala, a third-year Internal Medicine resident at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, married Reema Panjwani, a third-year Emergency Department resident at Monte Fiore. It was quite a lavish affair with rich traditions and celebrations stretching across four days at breathtaking venues.
