Letter From the Chair

Ruth O'Regan“Medicine cures diseases, but only doctors can cure patients.”

This quote from psychiatrist Carl Jung is especially meaningful this month, as we observe National Physicians Week from March 25-31. This week shines a spotlight on the importance of the physician-patient relationship and recognizes physicians’ dedication and hard work.

National Physicians Week gives all of us the opportunity to pay special tribute to our physician colleagues across the DOM for making an incredible difference in patients’ lives. Of course, our physicians deserve this recognition year-round.

I am personally grateful for the outstanding patient care our physicians provide every day. Thank you for everything you do.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, March 17!

Be well,
Ruth O'Regan, MD
